Jane Marshall
Jane Marshall is a new member of the Halton Hills Library Board. She has lived in Georgetown since 1994 after having emigrated to Canada with her husband and daughter from the United Kingdom. Jane is a retired Elementary Principal after having worked for over 25 years in education. She is also a Chartered Librarian (UK) and managed numerous public libraries as well as the libraries for two secondary schools and an elementary school.

Jane is an avid reader and lover of books. She promotes reading, especially with children, whenever she can. She also believes that being able to navigate information through multiple sources is essential for all. She is interested in ensuring that information access and dissemination is freely available through equitable practices. Jane enjoys the theatre, yoga, and uses the Gellert Centre regularly for swimming and aquafit classes. In the past, she has been a volunteer for a local Guide group, and she currently volunteers with a local theatre group.
