The library offers many volunteer opportunities for teens to fulfill your required 40 hours of community service. To apply, please complete the Volunteer Application Form.

Adult Volunteers at the Library

  • Join the Friends of the Halton Hills Public Library and help raise money for the library. To become a member, visit the Friends of the Library page for complete details.
  • Volunteer to deliver books to people who cannot come to the library through our Home Library Service. To apply, please complete the Volunteer Application Form.

Reading Buddies Program: Adult Volunteers

Interested in volunteering for the Reading Buddies program? The Halton Hills Public Library is seeking volunteers who are passionate about reading and working with children. Whether you're a parent, teacher, student, or simply an avid reader, this program offers you a fantastic opportunity to share your passion for books while creating meaningful connections with others. Our volunteers must be willing to commit to complete volunteer training and attending one hour Reading Buddy sessions on a weekly basis from November – May.
