The Halton Hills Public Library has a wide range of games you can take home to play, along with games you can play in the library.

 Board games and card games
  • You can borrow board games and card games the same way you would borrow a book. All board games are listed in our catalogue.
  • If a game is not currently available to borrow, you can place a hold and we will notify you when it is ready for you to borrow.
  • No book drop return. 
  • Board games are also made available for you to play during our larger Library wide programs and events (Family Day, FanFest, etc.).  
Puzzles

While visiting the library, feel free to contribute to our community puzzle. Once finished, we set out a new one. Be sure to take a picture and share your progress with us by tagging us on Facebook or Twitter!

 Video games to borrow
There are games for players of all ages, young children to adults. The following types of games are available:
  • Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo DS and Nintendo Switch
  • Wii and Wii U
  • Xbox 360 and Xbox One
  • PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5

All video games are listed in our catalogue.

  • If a game is not currently available to borrow, you can place a hold and we will notify you when it is ready for you to borrow.
  • If you cannot find what you are looking for, you can Suggest a Purchase.
 Video games to play in the library
While you are visiting the library, you can play a Playstation game in the Children's section of both the Acton and Georgetown Branches. Choose your game from the options available at the Main Service Desk and borrow a controller with your library card.
 Virtual reality

Come to the Halton Hills Public Library to try our Virtual Reality Gaming System. There are many different programs and events to choose from. Please see our Virtual Reality page and Program Calendar for more information.

Digital jigsaw puzzles

Our online digital jigsaw puzzles are perfect for at home family fun! Each puzzle is customizable in terms of difficulty by increasing or decreasing the number of pieces.
