If none of the above apply, you can purchase a library card membership for $32 per year. You can be any age and have a library membership. Applicants under the age of 14 require a parent or guardian's signature. |

All fines can be paid in-person at the Service Desk. If your fine is over $5.00, you have the option to pay online. The balance owing on your library account must be less than $25 in order for you to continue borrowing library materials and using some library services such as 3D printing and online databases. Replacement fees for lost, damaged, or stolen items are applicable. |

Some limited collections can only be borrowed by people 18+.

Lending periods and overdue/lost items | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Typical lending periods are listed below. Please check your checkout receipt or your online library account for exact dates. Items can be renewed only if there are no holds on the title. Titles with waiting lists cannot be renewed. Overdue notices are sent when items are 1 day, 7 days, 14 days, 28 days and 34 days overdue. At 35 days, items are considered lost and a replacement charge and processing fee is added to your library account. A bill for these charges will be sent by email or mail. Payment is due within 30 days of the billing date. The balance owing on your library account must be less than $25 in order for you to continue borrowing library materials and using some library services such as 3D printing and online resources. Bills can be paid in person at both Library Branches. Bills over $5 can be paid online through your library account. Accounts with balances over $100 may be placed with the Library's Collection Agency. Payment plans are available.

Always have your library card or your photo ID with you to access library services or materials. If any changes occur, such as a change of name, address or phone number, please tell staff right away. If your card is lost or stolen, please call 905-873-2681 immediately and cancel your card. Replacement cards can be purchased for $2.
