Canadian Citizenship Kits

Our kits contain information about the rights and responsibilities of citizenship and what it means to be Canadian. They are designed for civics classes, Scouts and Guides groups, or anyone who wants to enhance their knowledge about being a Canadian.

CBC Corner

This online portal allows you to access a wide variety of content including trusted news, local stories, entertaining TV and radio shows, award-winning podcasts, educational kids content, innovative podcasts and more. Available in English and French

Local History Kits

Learn about key events in the history of Halton Hills including the history of Georgetown, Acton and surrounding communities. Local History Kits can be signed out for a six week period. They are great for school projects, teachers, and the general public.

Language-Learning

You can find books and audiobooks to help you learn a new language and study for IELTS or TOEFL exams. We also host English Conversation Classes at the Georgetown Branch. For more information on upcoming classes, please visit our Events Calendar.

Online Databases

You can access our online databases for student and personal research. The databases can be logged into from home or anywhere you have an Internet connection. For some databases you will need your library card number to log in.
