The Halton Hills Public Library works closely with the Town of Halton Hills Office of Sustainability to create a green atmosphere by conserving water and energy, reducing carbon emissions and improving air quality in our buildings.

The Acton Branch is a LEED® Gold Certified building and the Georgetown Branch is a LEED® Silver Certified building. LEED® stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. Learn more about LEED on the Canada Green Building Council's website.
