Vote for the official bird of Halton Hills
Halton Hills was the 14th municipality in Canada to receive bird friendly certification. Now it’s time to have your say by voting for our official bird!
The first round of voting launches on Monday, February 17 and closes on Tuesday, April 29. You can vote online or in-person at either Hillsview Active Living Centre or Halton Hills Public Library.
The longlisted birds were chosen in consultation with Bird Friendly Halton Hills and Halton/North Peel Naturalist Club.
Stay tuned for the second round of voting that starts on August 9. The winning bird will be announced on October 18.
Coming Soon: Local Bird Sculptures
Discover the birds that call Halton Hills home at the Georgetown Branch! Ten beautifully crafted bird sculptures are landing in the children’s area Family Day weekend. Can you spot them all?
This project was generously supported by the Town of Halton Hills.
