Join the #GivingTuesday movement!

Giving Tuesday (November 28) is the world’s largest generosity movement. It’s a simple idea: a way of encouraging people to do good whatever way they can. Everyone has something to give, and every act of generosity helps. You can even get your family and friends involved.

There are so many different ways to express generosity on Giving Tuesday and every day! Give time, make someone smile, help a neighbour or stranger, make a donation, or give some of what you have to those in need. Since its beginning, Giving Tuesday has grown into a global movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.

Here are ways you can participate in Giving Tuesday and support your library:

  • Share a story. Use our short story portal to tell us what you like about Halton Hills Public Library. We’d love to hear what the library means to you.

  • Volunteer at HHPL. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities, and we’d love your help. Our greatest need is for volunteers who can help deliver library items as part of our Home Library Services

  • Make a financial donation. Your contribution supports programming, outreach, additional services, and so much more. Donations of $20 or more will receive a tax receipt.

Giving Tuesday is a great opportunity to get involved! All acts of generosity, no matter how big or small, have the power to make positive changes in our community.
