Our New Strategic Plan and Brand
Welcome! Our new Strategic Plan describes our mission, strategic objectives, goals, values, and vision for future success over the next five years. This plan was developed through extensive consultation with you, our community, by surveys and focus groups, and with the guidance from TCI Management Consultants. The plan outlines how we will focus on three essential strategic objectives: being welcoming and inclusive, supporting community connection, and enriching lives. It is through these objectives, goals, and initiatives that we aim to empower you to realize your potential through life-long learning and literacy.
In addition to the Strategic Plan, we have rolled out a new logo and brand. The new logo displays playful dots and layering of colours that are used to illustrate points of connection, interconnectivity, and diversity within the Halton Hills community. It references our website URL and illustrates its friendly and welcoming approach. The modern, colourful design will represent the library as it continues to be responsive and relevant, meeting the future needs of Halton Hills.
We also welcome you to enjoy our refreshed website featuring the new dynamic logo and colours of the new brand. The website features an expanded home page, a new online calendar, and improved news features to help keep you up to date on all the latest library programs, services and collections. To top off the website refresh, we have switched from www.hhpl.on.ca to the shortened www.hhpl.ca to reflect the simplicity of the new brand.
And finally, we have added a remote Book Locker Kiosk at the Gellert Community Centre. The Book Lockers are located inside the entrance to the Gellert Community Centre. Easily recognized by the new branding, they are designed to extend the coverage and accessibility of your library by providing a new place where you can pick up requested items, return items you have borrowed, browse, borrow new books and more. The Book Lockers will provide easy, convenient, and contactless service. More information about the innovative book kiosk system will be available when it’s fully operational.
“We are delighted to launch our new Strategic Plan and Brand,” says Beverley King, Acting Chief Librarian and CEO. “When talking to people in Halton Hills, we heard time and time again that you consider us the heart of the community, so we will strive to enrich the lives of everyone in Halton Hills through ideas, creativity, and connection in a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment.”
Watch for the new brand in library branches, our website www.hhpl.ca, and the new Gellert Community Centre Book Lockers. For additional information about your library’s new Plan and Brand, please visit HHPL’s Strategic Plan webpage.
