With the holiday season upon us, Halton Hills Public Library invites the community to once again celebrate Winter Wonder! Join us in branch for some well-deserved holiday cheer to help make the season bright and festive. Take part in fun and creative drop-in programs and events for all ages. Letters to Santa
Drop by either Branch of your local library and pick up a Letters to Santa, Grab & Go Kit. Each kit contains everything you need to write a letter to Santa! When you’re finished your letter, be sure to mail it in Santa’s Mailbox at either location by December 9; no postage required. Address your letter Santa Claus, North Pole, HOH OHO, Canada. Letters may be brought in during regular operating hours. Please remember to include your return address so that Santa can write you back! Visit with Olaf and watch Frozen 2
Families are invited to join our special, summer-loving snowman friend Olaf at the Library and have their picture taken with him. A screening of Frozen 2 will take place at the Georgetown branch at 3 pm on Saturday, December 10th.

Winter Wonder Storywalk™
Join us at the Acton branch for two fun and educational Storywalks! We’ve chosen winter favourites Snowmen at Night by Caralyn Buehnerand Sneezy the Snowman by Maureen Wright to delight and engage the entire family. Walk throughout the Library and read the story together and see how it ends!

Teen Drop-in
Felt Brooch (11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.)  Saturday, December 3
Drop in and make your own brooch using felt, thread, beads, buttons, and safety pins. Choose from a selection of pre-cut designs, or design something new! This project is for anyone – from those new to crafting, to experts in all things hand-made. Drop by and make something for yourself, or a gift for a loved one. All supplies provided.

Acrylic Keychain (11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) Saturday, December 10
Drop in and make your own engraved acrylic keychain using one of our Cricut Makers. Pick from a selection of designs, or design something new! Choose a keychain from a variety of shapes, design a keyring and with our Cricut to etch a design of your choice. All supplies are provided. 

Holiday S.T.E.A.M. Activities for Families
Engage and delight in family S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) based activities. Using markers, colour and create on our huge Gingerbread House, take part in a Scavenger Hunt, explore our Ozobots, and more! Try all the S.T.E.A.M. activities throughout the holidays and show off your skills.
