The Halton Hills Public Library offers a variety of book clubs and related events for people of all ages. If you are running your own book club, the library also has book club sets and other services to help you and your club plan your reading.

Library Book Clubs and Events for Adults

For more information about these programs and events, please visit our Program Calendar.

Library Book Clubs for Children & Youth

These book clubs meet once a month for four months to take part in book discussions and activities facilitated by one of our librarians. For a full schedule browse our Events Calendar for Book Club programs and events.

Please note: Some programs require registration, and some require fees (to cover instructors and materials) that must be paid at registration.

Running your own book club? Borrow a Book Club in a Bag

Your club can choose from over 140 book club sets that can be borrowed for an extended loan period of up to six weeks. Each bag contains 10 copies of the book and a discussion guide to get you started.

To request a book club in a bag kit or view the full list of available titles, browse our catalogue for Book Club in a Bag.

Additional Help for Book Clubs

Need ideas? Contact the library or ask at any service desk, and we can help you select new titles or obtain enough copies for your group.

Custom book club kits

You can order multiple copies of a book for your book club from other libraries. We require a minimum of 6 weeks notice to order custom sets and are unable to accommodate requests for new releases. Selected titles must be more than one year old.
