Next Gen Leaders
Next Gen Leaders is HHPL's Teen Advisory Council that provides the opportunity to create library programs and services while building valuable skills in event planning, digital content creation, teamwork, and community engagement. This volunteer leadership program works alongside local community organizations, helps develop new teen events and explores emerging technology.

Participants will gain practical and professional skills including:
Contributing to planning all seasonal library programs
Helping to shape the 2027 Summer Reading Challenge
Publishing curated reading lists
Writing blog-style content
Creating Instagram content
Creating a resume and cover letter
Learning about self-advocacy and safe workplace environments
Gaining public speaking and communication skills
Experiencing a diverse collaborative volunteer opportunity
Earn volunteer hours while gaining hands-on leadership experience, building your skills, and making an impact on your community! The experience you gain can help prepare you for future volunteering, school, and job opportunities.
