About the library
Land acknowledgement
The Halton Hills Public Library is located on the Treaty Lands and Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation as well as the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee and the Huron Wendat. We are within the bounds of Treaty 19, also known as the Ajetance Treaty agreed upon by the Mississaugas of the Credit and the British Crown in 1818.
