Reading Buddies

Halton Hills Public Library’s Reading Buddies program is new for the 2025 – 2026 school year.

It’s free, and each child meets with their own volunteer partner at the library for one hour a week. This is not a one-size fits all or homework help program. Each child is treated as an individual and our goal is to find reading material that builds on their interests and strengths.

Participants will be paired with a volunteer and will meet in the library weekly, November – March. While we strive to accommodate as many requests as we can, volunteer availability may vary. We appreciate your understanding and support!
