Celebrate Canadian Cinema at the Free OnScreen Halton Hills Film Festival April 8-17, 2026!

We are excited to announce that our annual OnScreen Halton Hills Film Festival is back, bringing the best of Canadian film to our community for free from April 8-17!
Presented by the Halton Hills Public Library, Create Halton Hills, the National Film Board of Canada, and National Canadian Film Day, this fun and unique event will celebrate the incredible talent of Canadian filmmakers and showcase our rich national identity.
The festival will take place at various locations across Halton Hills with a series of free screenings, giving everyone in the community a chance to enjoy something special. From powerful documentaries to stunning animations, the films will highlight Canada’s diverse storytelling.
The event will conclude with a grand finale on April 17, in celebration of National Canadian Film Day where we will be screening the hit film "Youngblood" at the Acton Town Hall Centre. Refreshments will be available for purchase onsite.

Admission is FREE for all films, with registration only required for the National Canadian Film Day event on April 17. We encourage you to register early to secure your spot.
