FanFest Returns to HHPL April 18
The Halton Hills Public Library is getting ready to welcome the community back for FanFest on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Taking place throughout the Halton Hills Public Library and Cultural Centre, this full-day event features a wide range of activities for families, teens, and fans of all kinds.
A Day Packed With Activities
Programming runs throughout the building, with something happening in nearly every corner of the Halton Hills Public Library and Cultural Centre.
Princess Storytime – 10 a.m., Children’s AreaA family‑friendly kickoff featuring costumed performers reading classic and contemporary tales.
Drop‑in Cosplay Crafts – 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Creativity CentreVisitors can create accessories, props, and costume pieces with help from library staff.
Artist Alley – 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Cultural Centre LobbyLocal artists and vendors will showcase original artwork, handmade goods, and fan‑inspired creations.
Children & Adult Cosplay Contest – 11 a.m., John Elliott TheatreA highlight of the day, inviting participants to show off their costumes on stage.
Ghost Hunting with The Searcher Group – 11 a.m., Local History RoomA paranormal investigation workshop blending local history with ghost‑hunting techniques.
“Sinners and Vampires” Horror Writers Panel – 2 p.m., John Elliott TheatreMembers of the Horror Writers Association discuss dark fiction, folklore, and the enduring appeal of the supernatural.
Cosplay Life Drawing – 2 p.m., Helson GalleryA creative session where attendees sketch live costumed models.
DashCon 2, The Revival Panel – 3 p.m., John Elliott TheatreA fan‑culture discussion panel (details to be announced).
Cosplay & Pin Trading: Trade & Swap – 3 p.m., StudioA community exchange event for collectors and costume enthusiasts.
